Walking with Bats on Ham Hill
Join the rangers for an evening stroll around Ham Hill Country Park to discover the fascinating world of bats. Learn about the ecology and behaviour of these nocturnal mammals and discover which species are found in the woodlands and meadows. We will use bat detectors to help us identify them, as the flutter over our heads.
This guided bat walk is suitable for adults and children aged 12 and older.
Please meet us outside Ham Hill Ranger's Office for the start of the event. Please arrive 10 minutes before the walk start, wear suitable footwear and clothing for the outdoors, and bring your payment in cash with you. Under 18's - £6, adults £8. Event runs 20:00- 22:30.
Booking essential: email Edd on edward.chilcott@somerset.gov.uk with the bookings you would like.
We would advise you to bring your own torch as it will be dark at the end of the walk.
