Astronomy Evening at Ham Hill - March
Have you ever found yourself grazing up at the night sky, wondering what mysteries are hiding in the depths of space? Maybe you have a telescope tucked away in a cupboard doing nothing?
The evening is leg by experienced local astronomer Adrian Dening. Following an informative talk, we will venture outside to conduct our own adventure into the Cosmos.
The moon will be below the horizon, giving us an un-polluted view of Jupiter and its Galilean moons followed by numerous deep space objects like the Great Orion Nebule, the Pleiades open cluster of the stars and the Andromeda Galaxy 2.5 millions light years away.
Please wear warm clothing as we will be spending time outside. The use of the telescopes will be dependant on there being clear skies, but don't worry as we have a 'plan b' if the weather isn't co-operating.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
