Somerset Day & Weekend

The 2023 Somerset Day weekend, following on from the Coronation weekend, will be an opportunity to celebrate the ‘gathering together of all the people of Somerset' for King and County – looking forward to a new era whilst recognising the importance of Somerset Day as the occasion in May 828 when Alfred the Great 'gathered all the people of Somerset’ to defeat the invading Danish army.

Join us on the second Saturday in May in celebrating the economy, history, heritage, beauty and culture of Somerset.
