The Bishop's Palace and Gardens

The medieval Palace and the stunning gardens that surround it are located in the heart of the historic city of Wells.

Home to the Bishops of Bath and Wells for over 800 years, the gardens contain the source of water from which the city takes it name. The gardens have been restored in the 19th century picturesque style, designed around the ruined banqueting hall.
