The Liberty TrailA 28 mile footpath from Ham Hill to Lyme Regis, following the route of local people who, in June 1685 walked to join Monmouth at Lyme...![]() Guiding you from Ham Hill in South Somerset to the Dorset coast at Lyme Regis, the Liberty Trail tells the stories of six rebels from villages along the route. With green sprigs in their hats to mark their support for Monmouth, and using farm scythes for weapons, some of them may have walked to Lyme to join Month along the same paths that you will follow...
